Thanks everyone for the very nice compliments and participation in my july Give-Away. It's so nice to see my patterns being enthusiastically received and a big motivation for me. Now without further ado: And the winner of the July Give-Away Winner is... Patty C!

As you know I only interrupt my holiday for this announcement. I will go on enjoying my spare time (and updating everything since I got quite far behind on the Color 'n Cream Shop and all my promised tutorials...). This is going to be my next tutorial. It's almost finished! I think it's my best Crochet Coaster Pattern yet!

Monday Chit Chat... Taking My Break

This is my last post for the coming month. I will be taking my break now, of the blog at least. I need to catch up with a lot of work. There are many tutorials to be made, I have to update the Color 'n Cream Shop, I need to crochet lots of stuff for the Crafty Market in Almhult... Still busy, just off the radar for a while.

I feel the need to do some other stuff too. Like this weekend, I worked on my inspiration pin board. I love the way it turned out, with all the pretty colors, pictures and post cards. It makes me happy just to look at it. Just as I intended!!

But don't worry! I will announce the July Give-Away winner next week. You can also keep an eye on Color 'n Cream Facebook, since I will announce there when new patterns are available in the shop.

Oh, and the shop will be open, but just for the Crochet Patterns. The yarn and other items will be inactive since I just really need a vacation. I will be ordering yarn during the holiday though, and I hope to have it available for you afterwards. Exciting right? For me anyway...

July Give-Away

Did I almost forget the promised monthly Give-Away!!! Couldn't allow that to happen. So, this month, the Give-Away is kind of obvious. It's the Granny Square Scraps Blanket Tutorial! YEAH! Leave a comment below and win this fun project!

Talking about 'giving', all of you know by now that was my new year's resolution. I announced I would be donating 10% of every dollar spent in the Color 'n Cream Shop to Microckrediet voor Moeders, an organization that lends microcredit to (single) mothers in Asia to help them provide for their families. I love this cause, because it's a gift that keeps on giving. The loan will be paid back, and the donated money can be used again for someone else. Anywho, I did my first donation yesterday, and MAN did that feel GOOD!!

 This is what I've been doing these last 2 days. What will it be?? I'm about 99% sure you will not get he right answer... It's a surprise and something I've been planning to do for ages.

These are my Edition Paumes books. I'm sure most of you know them. They are the BEST books for inspiration EVER. I love to just go through them over and over and be inspired by all the colorful and original interior ideas. I have only 4 now, but am planning to get them all. Maybe for christmas...

The rain has cleared and it's the sunniest day today. I just walked my dog and enjoyed the sun after all that water pouring out of the air. The plants really loved it though and I didn't have to water them.

Crochet Pattern Granny Square Blanket

TI'm done! The (English) Crochet Pattern Colorful Granny Square Blanket is in the Color 'n Cream Shop.

This is by far my longest tutorial yet. I'm quite proud of it, actually. I think it's very clear and detailed, as usual. So now you guys can make this pretty blanket for yourself!

It's been very rainy here these last few days. I love it actually. A little time to wear long sleeves and socks and stay in for a few days. We are crafting and watching movies... Lovely!

The Sunday Market was fun, although I didn't sell much/anything. It wasn't the right place for me, but the atmosphere was so nice and very inspiring. I wouldn't want to live in Amsterdam, but when I visit there I always come home totally inspired. Do you have a city you love??

Now I'm working on the new Flower Coaster Pattern, and after that I will get started on the Pink Flower Doily Pattern. I have lots and lots in store for you!

I hope to be back tomorrow, but I can't make any promises at the moment. The holiday is coming our way and my girls are pretty hyper. I need to distract them with little trips to sand and water, or grass and farm animals, stuff like that. Oh how I LOVE  summer!

Piles Of Lovely Crochet

I've been preparing for the Sunday Market this week, as most of you probably remember and that's why I needed to do some inventory. I always love the way that looks, don't you? All those piles of lovely...

I hope it's going to be a busy day, next sunday. And that it's going to be lovely weather like today. The predictions aren't great, I think, but since they are never right, I figure it'll be ok!

Been a bit quiet here the last 2 weeks. I'm taking it a bit slow at the moment. My little girl is home a lot and some other things ask for my attention. I also decided to take about 4 weeks of vaca-time of the blog while the kids enjoy their holiday. We go on lots of pick-nicks and little adventures, since the summer is so generous with lovely weather this year. Don't you love being outside?

Anyway, just some eye candy today. And an invitation to my Dutch readers: Komen jullie ook zondag??
