The squares are all sewn together. In the pic's you see the back and front. I joined them by single crochet all around and finished the edging with a contrasting black picot stitch.
Don't you love the little splash of color?
For the picot stitch: chain 3, double crochet in first chain from ch-3, skip 1 (or 2) stitch and join with a slip stitch. Super simple! And if you only skip one the only important thing is that you have an even number of stitches. In a square that's always the case...
Enjoy the holidays!
Absolutely stunning and gorgeous, I love the splash of colour.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the picot pattern.
Merry Christmas to you and your Family.

ReplyDeleteThis is such a cool design - I keep having trouble picking colour schemes so this is a great solution. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI admire all your work. The colours, the techniques. Everything. You are one of my inspirations. Thanks
ReplyDeleteJenn, this is absolutely gorgeous! I love the grayscale scheme with that tiny burst of color--so clever and whimsical! I taught myself how to crochet by watching YouTube videos and have a special fondness for granny squares. Can't wait to try a riff on this color scheme!
