Crochet Confetti Pattern

So, it's kind of a time consuming way of making confetti, but non the less, very durable and fun! Just think how lovely this luxury confetti would look on a pretty set party table, or coffee table. Or how it would brighten up your windowsill or just your pictures... This is how you make them. It's an easy and very small project.

Just make a magic circle, chain 1 and make 7 single crochets (UK double crochet) in the ring.

Use your scraps. I use mercerized cotton (also available in the Color 'n Cream Shop) and a 3,5 mm hook. Once you've made the sc's, pull the beginning of your yarn to close the circle. Now cut the end of the yarn and pull it through.

Now, look at the pictures closely how to join. If you do it this way, it's almost invisible where you've started.

Now just finish off and you are done!! Tadaaaah!!! Isn't it lovely in it's simpleness??

Let's PARTY!!!! Have a festive day!

Preparation, Preparation, Preparation!

These last few days it's been all about preparing for the Crafty Almhult Market. I've been quite relaxed about it, to my own astonishment...

I have lots of crochet pretties, but also some buttons, fabrics, postcards, beads etc. that I bought in Thailand some time ago. My suitcase is stuffed. I'm very excited!!

But I did think of you guys too. There's a little free tutorial waiting to be published for you on friday. It's a perfect little weekend project, so have fun with it!

I'm off the radar no, until monday. Have some lovely sunny days (I hope)!!

Monday Chit Chat

Just a monday 'Hello!' from me to you and some eye-candy to brighten up your day. Do you see the lovely scissors with the little geisha on it? In pink and yellow no less, my favorite colors. This was a present from my man (he is starting to really know me!!) and I think it might be the best gift he EVER got me. Don't you love it?? Now I can cut my loose ends in style!

And I just HAD to share these gorgeous Dahlia's with you. They are my favorite garden flower and mine (and my mom's) is full of them. The beauty of it is, I can just plant them again next year, with even better results, and I will get more new ones too, so my garden will be even fuller of this floral abundance. I cut them every day (the more you cut, the more you get) and have little vases with fresh lovelies everywhere!

And these are some new potholders I designed to take with me to the Crafty Almhult Market. I will take lots of goodies with me. Not only crochet, but also fat quarters, beads, buttons... Only 4 more days...

Well, that's it for me today. What are your favorite summer flowers??

Have a flowery day!

Crochet Doily

Hello my sweets! How was your summer? Although technically, summer isn't over yet, it is here in the Netherlands... It's rainy, grey and cold. I LOVE it! I always enjoy the first days to wear socks and long sleeves again. Sure, a few more days of sun would have been nice, but I don't mind the fall coming early at all.

I hope you all had a relaxing vacation and made some fun memories with your friends and families. I went camping with my girls and man. In a tent, just 45 minutes from home. We had so much fun! And even though we would only stay for 4 days, we prolonged it to 10 days, because it was so nice. I really needed to get away!

And naturally I did some crafting during the holiday. I designed this doily for example. I've been wanting to do some black crochet en I really wanted to do a doily. Designing doilies is FUN FUN FUN, but I discovered, making tutorials on them is NOT! I'm still busy making the Pink Doily Tutorial and I'm not enjoying that at all. Hmmm, what to do, what to do??

I have some fun stuff for you in store. There will be a free tutorial next week, on the confetti in the pic's. And in september there will be another double Give-Away since August wasn't so giving. Oh, and I have another Crochet Flower Coaster Pattern finished. I think that will be in the Color 'n Cream Shop at the end of this week. Ahhhh, I love to be back! I missed you guys!

Have a crafty day!
