Monday Chit Chat

So, I had a lovely relaxing weekend. Did you? Nowhere to be, nothing to do really, but crochet and hang out with my lovelies. I could use that!

Made 30 circles and am turning them into squares now. I went to my blog to check out the tutorial, to see how many stitches I used to make them square, but discovered I didn't make a tutorial on this one yet... Silly. Must look into that...

This stroller blanket is almost finished. Am still figuring out what to do with the edging. Must seek some inspiration. It's always difficult to choose an edging, don't you think??

I really wanted to show you these absolutely adorable postcards. I bought them at a flee market I was attending last week. They are supposed to be made in the 1950's... I don't know if that's true, but I love them anyway. And it's clear that they are vintage. They were made in Spain. I LOVE them!! Think I'll frame them.

Well, that's it for now. I'm busy making a pattern on the flower coasters (from my shop). They will be in my shop somewhere next week I hope. I'll let you know by then.

Have a happy monday!

  3. Your circles and flower blanket are both very pretty :-) I love the bright cheery colors. And they match your postcards! I agree, framing them would be nice. They're too unique to get tucked away.

  4. Your postcards are nice, but it seems to me rather '70s. The clothing and hairstyle figures ... Beautiful circles, and more beautiful colores.VERA

    1. That's what I thought. Maybe sixties, but I didn't think they looked very fifties... They are still lovely though!

  5. The circle granny square is awesome, and the flower blanket is gorgeous! Love the colors! By the way, thank you for mentioning my work in one of your previous posts! :) I'm so glad that you like the pillow I made using your great tutorial. You should definitely sell patterns in your shop. They're wonderful!

  6. Love the flower blanket. It looks like a daisy. Do you have the pattern posted somewhere? I would love to make a blanket. I too love the postcards. Looks like they might be from the 70's because of clothing.

    1. Thanks Intantya! I use a very simple small camera from Canon, but I also use a reflective screeen, for the light (I'm not sure about the translation, but I hope you get the picture of what I mean...). Good luck!

  9. What kind of crochet hooks do u use

  10. Clover- Amour hooks are the best, but they are very expensive (although they are worth it!). Besides that I don't know. I never notice the brand. Just try to find one hat works for you.

  11. Hi, just found your blog and I love your crochet and colors! Do you find the join as you go method as sturdy as traditional methods of joining? I haven't mastered it yet. Thanks!

    1. I really like this method, yes. Especially 'cause it's fast and easy. But I also like the results. Better than sewing. Good luck!

  12. do you have a pattern for this blanket. I have a newborn (just turned 3 months) and would LOVE to make this for her. I just started crocheting when she was born and have taught myself watching videos and reading patterns, but am no where near ready to figure out patterns on my own. I am absolutely in LOVE with your creations, they are gorgeous works of art and I am completely in awe of your work. The colors you choose are SOOOO me! I do believe we may be soul sisters! :)
