On A Roll

I'm on a ROLL people! I'm filling up my Etsy shop with all these pretty new (and some old) items and it's making me so happy!! Doesn't it look pretty and sunny??

I'm learning more and more how to edit my photo's and I'm quite proud of the results. It's so great to notice I'm evolving this skill and enjoying it at the same time!

The DIY Patchwork Kit is to be found here. I'm happy to use all my different pieces of fabric. And they go great together don't you think?

Apart from all of this I'm grateful for all the sunny days we've been having. And on top of that it inspired me to start doing yoga again. Now I've started I can't remember why I ever quit before... It's so relaxing!

Some of you might think I forgot all about my resolutions this year... You know, the giving. Well, I didn't. I know I skipped February, but I'll make it up to you. I feel a Give-Away coming up... (Or maybe even 2)

Well enjoy the sun and don't forget to wear sunscreen! (Such a great song to uplift the day...)

Update

I've been so busy with my Etsy shop, I almost forgot to make a post... I'm working on the Flower Coaster Tutorial and it's quite challenging for me. I hope to have it in my shop by the end of next week.

And this is the result of my Color Bomb Project from last week. I still need to finish of the loose ends, but seem to have misplaced my darning needles!!! I'm going crazy 'cause I can't find them! I must have some more somewhere, so I think I'll be okay.

It's always so much fun to work in many colors and with such a simple pattern. It's no work at all.

And even though this must be the simplest edge someone has ever used, I love it and think it suits the blanket just right. What do you think?

Well, a short one again. Hope you have a sunny day and that it will uplift your spirit!

Spring

Spring is most definitely in the air here in Holland! You can see how the light is changing. It's brighter and more hopeful. It smells different too and everybody is coming out of their shell. Love LOVE the spring. My favorite season of all. Spring was the thing I missed most when living in Thailand...

I've started a new granny square Color Bomb Project, as you can see on the picture above. I love the bright colors. Catania has a new color I fell in love with instantly: mint, nr. 0385. It's so fresh!

And even though the lower 2 pictures are almost the same, I couldn't choose, because they both look so sunny. The book in the corner is my Book Of Inspiration. I've been working on it for years and I collect all the pictures from interior magazines and make collages out of them. There's a tutorial on how to make a fabric cover for your own book of inspiration here. And there will be some for sale in my Etsy shop soon.

I love to go through mine every now and again, to get inspired and refresh my mind (or sometimes just when I'm sad or grumpy, to uplift my spirit...).

One more note on the picture; see the plate with the orange print in the center?? That's the china (is that the right word??) I bought for my birthday in January. I love it! It's vintage and it's almost complete. Will show you more pictures soon.

Anyway, that's it for now. Have a lovely springy day!

Daisy Travel Blanket

So, here it is! Finished! I really like how my Daisy Travel Baby Blanket turned out. It's small, (hence the name), and it's perfect for a stroller or a car seat.  If this won't make your baby happy I don't know what will...

As always it's very bright. And I designed a new edging. I like it. It's light and airy.

This is the full blanket, 100 % mercerized cotton. It's 40 x 50 cm (about 16 x 20 "), so it is small. (It will fit in an envelope). Non the less, it's very pretty, don't you think?? And of course there will be a tutorial on the square.

Well, if you're fast this blanket can be yours. It's in my shop as of now. So be quick!!

Have a useful day!

Jolly Trolley

I know, I know... I would keep away from the blog... It's just that  can't. It's on my mind all day (and evening, 'till I go to sleep)! I just LOVE it so much. But I'm still taking it easy. Pulled out my sewing machine and got going. How you like them apples?? Or should I say Color Bomb Patchwork Cushion Cover?!

I love the way it turned out. And the back matches so well. I'm thinking to make a DIY kit to sell in my Etsy shop, would some of you like that?? It's a 40 x 40 cm cover, with zipper. It really brightens up the place (and yes, even my place can always use some brightening up!).

And it matches so well with the Pastel Color Bomb Project I started yesterday. It's going to be another baby travel blanket. Think it will be finished soon, since it's so much fun and it's easy.

But now, for the Jolly Trolly, I didn't want to keep this happy object from you. How pretty is this?? I've been drooling over this trolly from IKEA for months. I just couldn't think of a founded reason to get one. And even though I didn't find one, I got it anyway from my birthday money (yes, I got birthday money this year...). And how I'm LOVING it!!

It moves so smooth and the constant burst of color lightens up my moods. I don't know how I ever lived without it. And it's so useful for my yarn storage. Works like a charm!

Gonna leave you with a little photo mosaic of the pretty cushion. Couldn't resist even though they are double... Have a Jolly (Trolley) day!
